Lung (Michael Ning) and Chi-Yeung (Louis Cheung) are two eccentric hot-blooded young men leading a devil-may-care life. They deem themselves as heroes that can save the earth. However, Lung can do nothing about things in life that don’t work out as he wishes: he has to move out from where he has grown up; his step-mother Shan (Carrie Ng) has chronic depression; he finds his father (Alex Man) who’s just out of jail so annoying to get on with; his friend Chi-Yeung is fervently chasing a girl named Chan-Yat (Cherry Ngan) while his own idol, a star called Yee-Sue (Venus Wong), is still unreachable. In the meantime, a monster from Lung’s favorite animation appears in the city out of reason and turns people into zombies. The outbreak of this zombie crisis is followed by a widespread chaos all round. Even Lung’s neighbors have become zombies as well. Lung’s father happens to be out of town traveling with Shan. The Artificial Intelligence Conference: Put AI to work Underneath all the hype, real breakthroughs are happening in AI adoption and technologies as obstacles to applied AI are falling. The Artificial Intelligence Conference brings the growing AI community together to explore the most essential issues and intriguing innovations in applied AI, from groundbreaking business applications and compelling use cases to rock-solid technical skills and tear-downs of successful AI projects--and maybe one or two truly game-changing ideas. For more than 250 years the fundamental drivers of economic growth have been technological innovations. The most important of these are what economists call general-purpose technologies — a category that includes the steam engine, electricity, and the internal combustion engine. Each one catalyzed waves of complementary innovations and opportunities. The internal combustion engine, for example, gave rise to cars, trucks, airplanes, chain saws, and lawnmowers, along with big-box retailers, shopping centers, cross-docking warehouses, new supply chains, and, when you think about it, suburbs. Companies as diverse as Walmart, UPS, and Uber found ways to leverage the technology to create profitable new business models. The most important general-purpose technology of our era is artificial intelligence, particularly machine learning (ML) — that is, the machine’s ability to keep improving its performance without humans having to explain exactly how to accomplish all the tasks it’s given. Within just the past few years machine learning has become far more effective and widely available. We can now build systems that learn how to perform tasks on their own. Why is this such a big deal? First, we humans know more than we can tell: We can’t explain exactly how we’re able to do a lot of things — from recognizing a face to making a smart move in the ancient Asian strategy game of Go. Prior to ML, this inability to articulate our own knowledge meant that we couldn’t automate many tasks. Second, ML systems are often excellent learners. They can achieve superhuman performance in a wide range of activities, including detecting fraud and diagnosing disease. Excellent digital learners are being deployed across the economy, and their impact will be profound. In the sphere of business, AI is poised have a transformational impact, on the scale of earlier general-purpose technologies. Although it is already in use in thousands of companies around the world, most big opportunities have not yet been tapped. The effects of AI will be magnified in the coming decade, as manufacturing, retailing, transportation, finance, health care, law, advertising, insurance, entertainment, education, and virtually every other industry transform their core processes and business models to take advantage of machine learning. The bottleneck now is in management, implementation, and business imagination. Security at Gettysburg was ramped up this year after rumors anti-fascist group Antifa would be in attendance. (Barnini Chakraborty/Fox News) Patrick Werner, wearing a white USA t-shirt, arrived at the site holding a sign that read, 'The soldiers who fought here did not wear masks.' Werner told Fox News he came to Gettysburg because he had heard rumors of anti-Confederate protesters – with their faces covered – coming to the historic grounds for the 154th anniversary of the pivotal Civil War battle, though none were around as of mid-morning. 'We heard they were going to deface the monuments,' said James Bibb, wearing a t-shirt with the rebel flag that read, 'Heritage not hate.' 'I have six known ancestors that fought in this war. I'm here to defend the monuments.' Pat Roller of Maryland proudly displays her t-shirt that reads 'Try burning this. Some things are worth fighting for.' (Barnini Chakraborty/Fox News) Officials at the park have been bracing for protests this weekend. As of Friday night, four groups had applied for permits to demonstrate in the battlefield, Katie Lawhon, a spokeswoman for Gettysburg National Military Park, said. The Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Real 3% Risen applied and received special use permits for 11 a.m. Saturday in a special section north of Gen. Meade’s headquarters, Lawhon told Fox News. The permits say each group could bring between 50-500 people. The groups came to Gettysburg amid rumors that a fifth group – the alt-left Antifa – was planning to burn Confederate flags and desecrate graves at Gettysburg. Seth Harrold, a member of 3% Risen, told Fox he was there to 'take a stand' and 'protect the battlefield.' Harrold said he personally heard Antifa would be there to burn Confederate symbols. 'We're not standing for that,' he said. Related Image. Dec 27, 2016. 2017 can be the year of big dreams and life-changing small steps, here are 17 quotes to help you stay anchored in your goals. No parent should have to bury their child, but that was the reality that Dick and Josephine Weil faced when their adopted son Gabe was diagnosed with Duchenne's muscular dystrophy. By the age of ten, Gabe was wheelchair bound. By the time he was a teenager, he required a full time caretaker. Despite his grim diagnosis, Gabe made it his life goal to get a college degree, knowing that such an accomplishment was more than most could expect of him. In December of 2013, Gabe graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, fulfilling that dream. Nearly simultaneously, doctors informed him that he had been misdiagnosed all along, and as such, that he might live into his 50s. Although this news was overwhelmingly positive, it presented a surprising obstacle. Gabe did not have any long-term goals. He was forced to rethink his life from scratch. This radical shift in consciousness propelled him to set new goals, continue overcoming obstacles, and manifest more dreams. Gabe is a testament to. The drive to be on the bleeding edge of technology powers the PC gaming community. We want nothing more than to run our ridiculously powerful rigs on barely stable beta drivers, with our CPUs overclocked to speeds that are neither advisable nor guaranteed to be safe for our systems. It’s a good match for the ship-first-iterate-later approach of major Silicon Valley companies who want to expand at all costs and don’t care what it takes. But companies like Uber, Lyft, Airbnb, Fiverr and the others are starting to feel the risk of that edge. The world is finally realizing that a hands-off, profit-first, tax-dodging “connection and services platform,” powered by the cheap labor of people who aren't technically employees and have no rights isn't exactly a good idea. In fact, it may be a very bad one. Whether this means government regulators finally getting their act together, unions winning court cases or citizens voting them out of town, these companies are starting to feel the downside of moving fast and breaking things. If you were to ask the average PC gamer, they’d swear up and down that there’s no way they’d ever give their money to such a corporation. They’d not only be caught dead before helping a company like that come to power, they might even join the resistance to stop them. And yet, that sort of operation is exactly what the PC gaming community has been supporting, promoting and defending since 2004 when Valve more or less forced us to install Steam by bundling it with Half-Life 2. Behind the smile Valve didn’t always seem like the sort of corporation which thought of its customers as meaningless numbers in a colossal profit machine. How could it be, with its fierce and innovative vision for digital distribution, its stable of influential first-party titles and its approachable, meme-friendly CEO? 'Look,' we said to each other, 'you can send Gabe Newell a funny email, and!. Valve is good.' Perhaps Good Guy Valve did exist, at one time. But beneath the glassy smile of Good Guy Valve today lurks an altogether, a textbook that is profiting from both hostile practices and a bizarrely customer-supported near monopoly on PC game sales. Steam looked very different in 2004 It seems increasingly unlikely that Good Guy Valve ever existed. Good Guy Valve is a clever marketing conceit, a machine operating on a massive scale and one that can only do so because it is powered by the one thing Valve would later come to exploit above all: the free labor of adoring users and consumer goodwill that often feels both unearned and bottomless.
